In the interview "How to become a model after 40", there is a question and an anwer I would like to explain:
What is your advice for other women over 40 who would like to start a modelling career?
I would like to point out that you will need good pictures to get started. Go to a very good photographer who is willing to help you out with some great portraits and full-body pictures (on which you are shown from toe till head). You can also setup profiles on modelling-forums like Modelmayhem, one-model-place etc. Here you can meet photographers and learn a lot more about the business.
On Modelforums (and even on Instagram and Facebook) you will read a lot of times "TFP".
But what is TFP meaning?
TFP is explained as "Time for print" in these words you can read literally that it is a deal with time and with prints.
The prints are the pictures from a photographer.
The time is the time spent for the model.
In other words: the model is willing to model for free, but she will get pictures (to print) from the photographer. The photographer is willing to make pictures for free.
TFP simply means: no money involved. The model will not pay the photographer, the photographer will not pay the model.
